IMPLEMENTASI KONSEP BLUE ECONOMY DALAM PEMBANGUNAN MASYARAKAT PESISIR DI MASA NEW NORMAL

Abstrak

The Covid-19 pandemic has shaken the country's order in various fields of life. As the largest archipelago country in the world, Covid-19 has had a negative impact on the marine economic sector in Indonesia. The phenomenon of 'Poor Fishermen in a Rich Sea' is one of the maritime problems that our fishermen have had for a long time. If the effects of Covid are not resolved immediately, the vicious circle will get worse. This study aims to review the implementation of the blue economy concept as an alternative to build and improve the economic conditions of coastal communities in the new normal. The method used is descriptive qualitative, while the data is obtained through literature review and documentation. The results of the study show, if the impact felt by coastal communities from the pandemic, including a decrease in fish prices, weakening marketing targets of fishery products, a decrease in the number of tourists, an increase in the price of feed and medicines to support fish production facilities, and a decrease in purchasing power and food security coastal communities.
