Human resources are a very important aspect in a company, with good resources the company can achieve all its goals. Therefore, companies need to pay attention to compensation for their employees in order to maintain employee morale. The compensation can be in the form of financial and non-financial in the form of salaries, allowances, social security, incentives, comfortable facilities. Compensation is a motivation so that employees continue to work seriously and maintain good performance. Employee performance is something that is expected by the company with maximum results in order to achieve the goals of the company, but there are many things that do not match the rights and obligations of the company to employees, therefore the company must pay attention to the importance of compensation and provide compensation so that employee performance is maintained. The purpose of this study was to determine whether compensation has a positive effect on employee performance. The method used is literature review and literature study conducted by writing keywords: compensation, employee performance, for journals taken from Google Scholar so that ten journals are filtered after and according to this report.
